tent or tent-trailer (tent pitch)

Skyttehusets campsite can offer two fantastic tent areas by the lake side of the Svejbæk narrowing between Julsø and Borresø. Both areas have a direct view and access to the water front and for large (family) tents, pitches can be rented witht connection for electricity. Out tent areas offer "free seating", meaning that you can place your tent where you like, as long as you adhere to the fire and safety regulations (min. 3 meters between tents).

Due to the unique location of the camp site, a protected part of the Silkeborg forests, it is not allowed to park your car in the tent area. However, it is allowed to unload your gear, and then park the car in the parking lot right outside the gate. If you have a tent-trailer (camp-let), you can choose to book a caravan pitch, where your car can be parked next to your tent-trailer.

AUTOCAMPER & caravan (caravan pitch)

Skyttehusets camping has a total of 50 pitches for caravans and autocampers in the hilly terrain. These caravan pitches each have their own charm, but one thing is common for all; you will feel that you have come closer to nature.

Some pitches have a view to the Svejbæk narrowing and the calm boat trafic, others have a view to a small, idyllic lake, named "Mørkø" (Dark-lake). All caravan pitches, incuding our standard pitches, have their own connection for electricity.

Obs. If you have a tent, it is not allowed to book a caravan pitch with a view to the lake. Please book a tent pitch instead, they all have a view to the lake :)
