Rent a bike or mountain bike

We rent regular MTB bikes and camping bikes on the site. If you want to try an exceptionally good bike and have a fantastic ride, we highly recommend EBIKE Silkeborg, located in Virklund.

The very best MTB trails!

Søhøjlandet offers some of Denmark’s very best MTB trails — all within reach when you stay at Skyttehuset’s Outdoor Camp.

Vesterskoven
The two trails, “Danmarks Tag” and the newer trail in Vesterskoven, can be reached with a short warm-up ride.

Nordskoven
If you want to explore the trails in Nordskoven, you can take our small, electric solar ferry across Svejbæksnævringen and ride these exciting routes on your MTB.

If you’re not looking for an adrenaline rush, but would rather explore the stunning nature in Søhøjlandet, there are plenty of opportunities just outside the site.

Mountain bike rental

We have a collaboration with Cykelfavoritten in Silkeborg for renting MTBs for our overnight guests. You order your MTB directly from Cykelfavoritten before your stay and they deliver/pick up the bike for you… easy 🙂

Skyttehuset Outdoor Camping has 3 camping bikes available for rent

These bikes are great for a trip to Virklund or Silkeborg.

When you rent bikes from us, you will always get a helmet, bike pump, and repair kit for the ride

½ day (max. 4 hours): 150,-
Full day: 200,-

These are good bikes to use on the many MTB trails around the site.

Our values

Presence & Cozy in fantastic nature

Our campsite is located in the middle of nature, in the forest and by the water. It is a small site with beautiful surroundings.

Many of our guests come back again and again because it is beautiful, scenic, and not least cozy. Our values are to create a place with coziness and presence in our very beautiful and scenic surroundings. There should be room for everyone here, and it is therefore important that we consider each other.

We want to provide high service and wish to be your hosts instead of making a lot of prohibitions. If you desire peace and quiet, then Skyttehuset Outdoor Camp is definitely a fantastic destination for you.

However, you should be aware that during the season we hold some music events, where we enjoy good music on the terrace. The events can be seen in our event calendar, and all music ends at 10 PM.
